FISC and the Family Centers are United Way of Door County funded partners. As FISC's Director and certified consumer credit counselor, Gay has more than 12 years' experience in budget and credit counseling and workshop facilitation. Her high school presentations are well received by area teens and she has news for you! Teaching your kids about money can be a win-win situation for parents and kids. Through hands-on, age appropriate family exercises, parents and kids will learn how to change the way they think about money and spending. And families will receive the tools necessary to begin a life-long, productive conversation about money. You will not be required to share confidential information to participate in this workshop. For the last 50 years the League of American Cyclists established and have been celebrating National Bike Month in an effort to inspire and motivate everyone to get out cycling, and learn more about cycling. Beginning at 2:00 gather a group together and meet at the Forestville Dam County Park to ride the Ahnapee Trail. From 4:00 – 5:00 there will be refreshments, (out) door prizes and bike safety information available. No charge to attend but donations will be appreciated. Visit the Forestville Library prior to the event to see our Biking for Babies! campaign display along with books that tell about the history of bicycling. Biking for Babies is an effort to raise awareness for the needs of our Teen Parent Program. Information is available at the Family Center bulletin board at both YMCA centers.
